Cats of the Caribbean

If you’re looking for a post about catamarans, keep moving, because this is all about the cute and friendly cats and kittens I keep seeing on the islands. Whenever I see one, I try to take a photo so here’s a cats of the Caribbean post. Don’t worry, Domino doesn’t know, and she still gets lots of love from us at home.

Most of these sweet felines are from Martinique, but some were spotted in Saint Lucia and Guadeloupe. Some are so friendly they’ll walk right up to you and most are so secure they won’t run away when you approach. Here’s some cute cats of the Caribbean.

Cats in Saint Lucia

We met this first girl in a bar in Soufriere, Saint Lucia. She lived in that bar and was really affectionate with both of us and got especially curious about Brian’s phone.

Eating and Drinking in Ischgl

Before coming to Austria, and the Alps no less, I had imagined there would be good eats here. Fit for Alpine skiing, Austrian cuisine is hearty and delicious, and we’re trying to sample Austria’s best dishes. Plus, we can ski over to Switzerland and try their cuisine too! Good thing we are getting exercise skiing with all this good food. Here’s my guide to eating and drinking in Ischgl, Austria.

Christmas Dinner: Chinoise Fondue and Austrian Red Wine

I already mentioned our delicious first night’s dinner of fondue – which we ate at 6PM because we were so tired from all the travel LOL early bird special! The fondue came with totally unnecessary baked potatoes.

Watch Out for Sheep When Driving in Iceland!

There are lots of sheep in Iceland! I said Iceland, not Ireland, but you would think that right? My warning to you, is to watch out for sheep when driving in Iceland.

Sheep are Everywhere

They are all grazing alongside the major highway and often with no barriers to the highway, also known as the ring road. Needless to say, I had a close encounter with some sheep! It’s all ok. They move surprisingly fast and I had a lot of notice they were coming. They moved so fast neither myself nor Brian were able to get a photo (boo!). Anyway, for the remainder of the day, I had to keep on the alert as the sheep were never far from the road.

The Views in Iceland are Gorgeous

Other than sheep, we saw a lot of beautiful natural wonders: glaciers that stunned us into silence with their magnificence and beauty, waterfalls and streams cascading down rock cliffs and mountains, fjords and more. Our campsite last night was alongside one of the fjords with a mountain view to match. Iceland is gorgeous.
